So, I tend to get these grand ideas in my head and then I either find them online and they are way over my budget or they don’t exist at all. In this case, I wanted a huge statement clock on our office wall. The ones I could find in that size were not a price I was willing to pay and truthfully wasn’t really what I was looking for anyways, so I made my own.
I don’t have many pictures of the process, but I will do my best to explain the steps.
I started with a giant square of peel and stick wallpaper on the wall where I wanted the clock to be. Then I used a nail, string, and a pencil to draw a giant circle. Then carefully cut out the circle with an exacto knife (just as I would the top or bottom of wallpaper). I decided I wanted more dimension, so I used my trusty peel and stick wallpaper to add a smaller circle in the middle using the same process.
I then ordered the hands for the clock on amazon. (Search for “DIY clock hands”)
I also ordered wooden craft circles from amazon and painted them white. Then added galvanized metal numbers from hobby lobby.
Now remember I don’t do power tools so who can guess how I hung the circles and the numbers? My handy dandy glue gun! (yes, we watch blue’s clues around here)
I still felt like it was missing something, so I found half wooden beads and lambs ear garland to add. Yes, I hot glued them both to the wallpaper.
Since I everything is glued to the wallpaper and the wallpaper itself is peel and stick the entire clock is easily removable.
