My very first wallpaper project was shiplap. There are a million ship lap wallpaper patterns to pick from. But I figured who better to trust that the shiplap queen herself…Joanna Gaines!! So, I went with Magnolia Home ship lap wallpaper and I was right. Its even got a texture to it so when the light hits it in looks real.
After completing this wall in the hallway I realized wallpaper was not nearly as scary as I thought so I kept going and never looked back!
Its hard to get a good picture of. One of those things that’s way better in person.
Ive used both peel and stick and prepasted and this is what I have learned.
- Peel and stick – less mess, but also less forgiving. No water or drips to deal with but can’t slide the paper to line it up.
- Prepasted – a bit more of a mess since it requires a spray bottle of water to wet the back of the paper to activate the glue but its so much easier once its on the wall since you can slide it in to place.
