I am sure you all are wondering who this Kerri chick is and why does she think she is good enough to start a blog. Well, she doesn’t…but she is doing it anyway.
Truthfully, she is just like you. An extremely tired stay at home mom who has lost herself in motherhood.
Okay, so I’m just trying to find myself again. I’m just trying to find a little slice of “me” in the hustle and bustle of my crazy life. So, I thought to myself what makes me happy (other than family)? What do I enjoy most? The answer is decorating. I started thinking what I could do.
My dream job is to flip houses…but clearly this is not the right time for that for that adventure, so I made a list of other options…
Interior designer
Party planner
Etsy shop
Wedding venue
Event venue
Wallpaper installer
Painter
Crafter
Real estate agent
But the thing is, I am a stay-at-home mom right now for a reason. And my kids need me. All of these sounded like great ideas but none of them allowed me to be home with my kids. So that’s when I took a course on Instagram. I learned so much from this course on how to be an influencer. And even though I can stay home and work on Instagram I still wasn’t sure I had found the right fit for me. Then along came Pinterest. I am not sure why on earth I have never thought of having a Pinterest business account before. I literally spend hours on Pinterest every week and its where I get all my ideas from. So here we are. Going to try this Pinterest and blogging thing out and see how it goes.
I love to decorate. I want my house to stand out. The funny thing is that in real life I am such an introvert. I am total follower, people pleaser and terrified of change. But with décor I am the opposite. I want to outshine, and I thrive on change and competition.
I have become that girl that all my friend’s text with décor advice. Whether they want my help picking out a rug or paint colors I absolutely love being that person. I am super hard on myself so when someone asks my opinion on something I realize it’s a huge compliment and I need that. Let me be that person for you too.
My goal with all of this is to inspire someone. I need a purpose in life other than being a mom.
